Been sewing up a lot of booksleeves lately. I really enjoy the process and finishing a quick project. Thinking of turning these into patterns. What do you think? I’ve missed designing patterns. Maybe it’s time to get back to it.

Sally Tote
I bought this pretty vinyl fabric a while ago and since my crossbody bag got busted from too much weight last month I needed to make myself another one. This vinyl is a little different than what I’m used to. I decided to use foam and boy it was stiff. I really could have just used decovil light and it would have been sufficiently stabilized, next time.

New Bag
I pulled out my waterproof canvas to test out some interfacings that have been sitting around. I am a big fan of fusible fleece and foam interfacing depending on what I am sewing but with canvas I decided to put some decovil light to the test.

Happy New Year and First Finish
Happy New Year! I finally did some sewing for me! I made a sample just to make sure so I didn’t add pockets or hardware to it but I really like the simplicity of it. It’s a keeper. I needed a bag that would fit my iPad and other essentials for me to take to church. My other bag was a little too small. I was also wanting to test out some new interfacing to reduce the bulk to see if it would still stand on it’s own and have some body. I’ve been hoarding cork fabric for a long time so since I have so much of it I thought it would be fitting to pair cork and canvas together.

Where Have I Been?
It’s been a long time since I posted on here. I’ve been working quite a bit and haven’t had time to post. We also moved twice in two years. It’s been a little over 1 1/2 years since we moved to our new home. We have been so busy renovating our home. It’s been a long road but we are so happy its’ pretty much done. I now have a dedicated sewing space that I’ve been working on getting organized so I can find my stuff/
I added more pockets on the inside and divided the full pocket on the exterior. I hope to be able to post on a regular basis soon.

Fall Blog Hop
Hello! It’s Fall and that means time to pull out Fall fabrics from my stash to make a couple of large zipper pouches. These are so much fun to make and can be used to organize your essentials or use as a large clutch. I tried a new to me material for the lining. I ordered some waterproof canvas to see how well it would sew up and let me just say, it's a breeze to sew.
