Leafs Me Happy

Today is the last day for the Leafs Me Happy blog hop and my turn to share with you my block. I am sew happy to participate in this hop since it gives me the push I need to sew some fun things for my home for Fall. I'd like to thank Madame Samm and Cherry for putting this blog hop together. They are awesome cheerleaders!
I had the hardest time trying to decide which block I would like to make, in the end I settled on this one. I love star blocks, you can't go wrong with them. I used a charm pack from Moda called Give Thanks (designed by Deb Strain) for my wallhanging. I love these quilt sizes because I could use it as a table topper or wallhanging. My block is 12.5".

This is the quilt top. At first I wasn't going to put borders on it, but after I put the blocks together I felt it needed borders.

Here it is all finished. I am naming this wallhanging Starburst.  I really love this fabric collection. The colors are so rich and warm, absolutely perfect for fall. Check back later this week for the tutorial.

I hope you're having alot of fun and inspiration. Check out all the blogs on today's hop.

Hi Kim-It took me awhile to "see" the stars as the beautiful fabrics you selected highlighted the oranges in a more or less circular pattern. The addition of the border really sets off the colors in the four squares-a very nice addition. Thanks for sharing.

Using the darker fabrics outside your stars points and HSTs in corners was interesting!!! And with the fabric name, Give Thanks rolling around in my head, when I looked at the comleted quilt, The pattern created reminded me of the criscrossed hands of a small group of people/family praying together at Thanksgiving. Very Pretty!!!
