Homecoming Table Topper Block 4 Tutorial

The weekend is here! It's been so hectic here that I barely managed to finish this for you before the week is over. Phew!!! I hope you'll like this block. It's another quick one to put together. We're going to catch a movie and relax this weekend. I'll be back next week with the Leafs Me Happy blog hop and this quilt top done.

Homecoming Table Topper Block 3
12" square finished

Supplies:

1 - light fat quarter
2 - contrasting med-dark fat quarters

Cutting Instructions:

Light fat quarter - (4) 3 7/8" squares
Contrasting fat quarters - (2) 6 7/8" squares from each fat quarter

Block Assembly:

1. Mark a diagonal line on the wrong side of the light 6 7/8" squares and 3 7/8" squares.

2. Place one of each 6 7/8" squares right sides together. Stitch 1/4" from both sides of drawn line. Cut on the diagonal line. Press open.

3. Take the 3 7/8" light square and place on the corner of the previously finished half square triangle. Sew on the drawn line. Repeat for the remaining 3 half square and light square pieces. Make sure they are all sewn the same way.

Trim 1/4" from stitched line. Press open.

4. Place the finished half square triangles following the diagram below. Sew the rows together horizontally, then sew these two rows together to form the quilt block.

You can download the tutorial for the blocks here.

Next week I will finish up the table topper and combine all the instructions into one file to make it easier for you to have everything in one place :-)
Have a wonderful weekend!
