En Provence Quilt Progress

I have been trying to finish all the components for the En Provence quilt. I was able to figure out a shortcut for the hourglass blocks and that saved some time, but still required a lot of sewing. I then didn't realize that I miscalculated how much fabric I needed to cut so I have a ton of leftover blocks. Looks like there's going to be another scrappy quilt coming after this one is done.

These hourglass blocks took me forever to trim. I also decided to change out the solid yellow square

for half square triangles. This leads to more trimming but I was ok with it. I conquered all the trimming work by doing it a little bit at a time. I wanted to put one block together to see how it looks
before I go ahead and sew the rest, a total of sixteen blocks. I didn't realize I had put some of the same green prints together but it's ok. I love how the block came out.

Your blocks are going to make a beautiful En Provence. I love the little starfish fabric.

I like what you have done with the 1/2 square triangles., and your colours are lovely.

I love the fabrics in your photo! What was your shortcut on the quarter squares? I ended up with a bunch of 4-patch neutrals left over. I have no idea how I ended up making entirely too many since I set them aside in sets of 10 - who knows!
