Playing Catch Up

School, family, and work has kept me so busy that I can't wait for the semester to end so I can put school behind and get busy on fun stuff. All the sewing deadlines crept up on me. These yellow fat quarters are for a double nine patch quilt I had planned on finishing this month. These come from a variety of Art Gallery Fabric collections.

This bundle is for the Kitty Caddy Clutch that I am going to make for my daughter. I let her choose what she wanted for the fabrics. The pink print is from Rifle Paper Co. to add a punch of color. The black will be for the exterior. She's an artist and her patterns and prints are sometimes a bit different for me but always comes out looking great. This reminds me of the time my friend asked me to design and make a bag for her. The colors and prints were way out there, so bright and crazy. It took me some time to get used to the combination she chose, but it was a fun bag and she still uses it everyday.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

It's a challenge to sew with someone else's fabric choices, that's for sure. But your daughter's choices are really cool! Looking forward to seeing the finished clutch :)
