I have a few mini charms to choose from but in the end I went with Sweetwater's mini charm pack called Lucy's Crab Shack and I had some yardage of the pink print and gingham strip also from Moda Fabrics to use to complete my pouches.
After I pieced the exterior of the pouches, I did some quilting for the front and back pieces. On the small pouch, I randomly quilted wavy lines and on the larger pouch I quilted pebbles for the bottom and swirls for the top sections. The center rail fence blocks were quilted different also. Just took the opportunity to play with free motion quilting. I love the contrasting ruffles for the larger pouch.
I dug out one of my American Jane jellyrolls to use the gingham strip and love how the ruffles turned out. It's pretty easy to put together.
This second pouch is smaller and would be fun to hold notions or small essentials. Overall these two pouches took no time to make and a great way to use up small pieces of fabrics from your stash or scraps.
