Santa's Trip Around the World Quilt

I have been plugging away working on three projects at once. I've been taking a break here and there to make sure my back doesn't act up too much. This one is the one Sarah, over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict have been providing the tutorials for. I thought I had it all figured out until I accidentally cut up the fabrics I need to work on this quilt.

Since that happened, I went ahead and just cut my sections into 2 1/2" strips instead of the 4" strips I was planning on cutting. My quilt will be more rectangular than the one Sarah is showing on her blog but the steps to put this quilt together are the same. This is the second trip around the world quilt I've done since I started quilting and it's a pretty forgiving pattern. I know that I will have to rip something out once I have the four sections all sewn and laid out. I really want this to be a large bed size quilt so I'll keep you posted. In the mean time, join Sarah over on her blog to see what everyone is making for this Christmas blog hop.

I love the variations in the fabrics you are using for your STATW quilt. I almost joined but I'm really trying to just finish what I have started :)
