Hands 2 Help Quilt

Hello Monday! It's been quite a busy time for me the last few months. I apologize to those I did not reply back from your kind comments. I appreciate the time you take to leave me a comment. It's just been so stressful with school and finals were a killer. I was able to squeeze in this quilt just under the deadline for Hands2Help. I also had some machine issues and was going to quilt this with my domestic sewing machine.

In the end, everything worked out and I was able to get this quilted. I did a really simple free motion meandering and also did the binding by machine. I don't think it would have been done in time if I didn't choose these two options. I've had these fabrics in my stash for a long time and so glad that I was able to use it for a great cause. This quilt is heading to Camp Hobe.

Here's a close up of the prints. Everything, and I mean everything used for this quilt came from my stash. I chose to do a scrappy nine patch because these are super quick to whip up. I also did a video tutorial from beginning to end but just haven't been able to piece it together yet to post.

The backing matches with the fabrics for the quilt top. I had to add the golden yellow houndstooth print for the binding to give it a nice contrast.

Hi Kim,
What a fun quilt! I am a huge fan of the nine-patch, and adding the sashing gives an updated look. ~smile~

I like the arrangement of the blocks with sashing! Thanks for linking to Finished or Not Friday!
