Recently I bought an embroidery machine because Amazon had such an amazing deal I couldn't resist. I had already bought DD an embroidery/sewing combo so didn't really need to buy another one but with an Amazon coupon and the one day deal I went for it. As it turned out, Caroline, at SewCanShe was designing some embroidery patterns and needed testers.
When the embroidery was done, I couldn't find my polyester stuffing or the crushed walnut shells that I have a boat load of. I had to ask hubby if he had seen either one. We have been cleaning and organizing so I don't know where my stuff are. I was about to go to the store to buy some stuffing material but he found my crushed walnut shells and I was able to finish my project.
If you would like this pattern, Caroline is offering it for free so go and grab it. It is a cute design and the pincushion finishes at 4". I used Aurifil thread 50 wt.
I also made something else incorporating this embroidery pattern.

Cute pin cushion. That is a very pretty design. I don't have any embroidery projects on my list right now but I'll get back to it sooner or later. I have every Floriani thread made, except for some of the specialty ones...need to find good uses for them.
This is beautiful! I do hand embroidery, so this would take me ages!! I'd love to hear how it holds up to pins going in and out! I've been curious about how embroidery on pincushions holds up! Lovely finish!
Very nice! I have yet to use an embroidery machine. My mom hand embroiders and it looks like it was done by machine. So I leave all my embroidering to her.
This is beautiful! Love the colours.
