I am still working on using up my small yarn stash. I have one ball of this pretty purple variegated yarn from Deborah Norville. I was going to knit a long scarf but I couldn't find anymore of this yarn at the store so I turned it into an infinity scarf. It was just the right length for it.
This type of stitching is called the Seafoam stitch and works up really quick. At first it looks like a mess because of all of yarn overs that I had to drop but I just kept on knitting away and it does look better as you go.
Here's a close up of the scarf. It was late at night when finished it and I was lazy tired so I used my iron with steam to block it. I think I might knit with the pattern again. It was just really simple and quick to whip up.
One more close-up.

Repeat these 8 rows until the desired length.
Bind off if making a long scarf.
Leave a long tail at the end and sew the ends together with the extra yarn for the infinity scarf.
If anyone can reference this pattern please let me know so I can update and give credit.
