Since most of my family is on a long college semester break, I've been trying to get squeeze in some sewing time to get things finished before school starts next month. One of the things on my list is to finish the En Provence mystery quilt. I realized that I don't have a lot of dark shades of blues so I've been breaking into my stash to try and find some.
I found some navy polka dots and a Denyse Schmidt print that I will incorporate into the quilt.
This is what I came up with for the fifth clue making half square triangles. I am trusting that this will all work out once I piece the blocks together.
Look at what I found when I opened one of my storage boxes? These little packages are all cut into various size squares from different designers/companies that were sent to me about 12-14 years ago when I had an online quilt shop. I had to close it to take care of family. Somedays I kind of miss it. Who knows, maybe one day I'll start it back up again. Look closely you might be able to spot Thimbleberries' Candy Cane Christmas. That was one of my favorite lines back then.
Look who decided to join me? Sugar has grown quite a bit and still loves this Summer Solstice quilt.
