Whew! Summer is just too short this year. We are all heading back to school next week. Some of us have online classes so we can be home and some of us have to physically be in the classroom.
It's been such a fun and busy Summer. Although I have been able to sew more than usual.
This Variable Star block was a last minute project for me to make. I pulled out some Denyse Schmidt scraps to use for the block. The first star block is 4 1/2" so these flying geese are really small.
I was thinking this would make a fun pincushion. Maybe I will make another one to do just that.
I made some more larger size flying geese units for to complete the 9 1/2" block to form the outer star points.
I love how it turned out. This was definitely a fun block to make. If you would like the tutorial to this block. Visit SewSheCan and grab the tutorial.

It's very pretty Kim - what do you plan to do with it? I love the idea of the pincushion. xx
Wow! That is really a cute block. Your flying geese are perfect...I always seem to struggle with them. I'll check out the tutorial. Thanks for sharing the link.
