Sandbox Quilt

This is my 2nd finish for my 3rd Quarter FAL goal and also my ALYOF July goal. This kit was done by Avlyn Creations I think at least 10 years ago. I have had this quilt top pieced for quite some time.

I was going to piece a really simple quilt to practice using the quilting machine and free-motion quilting but since I already had good batting I decided to just start quilting. The quilt design had some swirls in the center panel so I went with a swirl pattern for the quilting.

This is the back side. My swirls are pretty random. I just threw in whatever size swirls fits as I go along.

Here's the front of the quilt after I took it off the frame and trimmed it. I am pretty happy with how it turned out for my first time on this quilting machine. I am really loving the whole free-motion quilting experience.

I am so happy this quilt is done. The kit came with a striped binding. Anywho, I have a couple more of these kits still in the ziploc bag with a two page instructions if anyone wants to buy it to take it off my hand. This is a large child size quilt.

The randomness of the size of the swirls is what makes it so perfect for this quilt. Great job!

How much do you want for the extra quilt kits?
