I'm thinking it's going to be a busy week for our family with our son finishing school this Friday so I will probably schedule my posts over the next few days. I have been taking a bit of time here and there sewing these Wishes Along BOM blocks.
This is block #4 called Broken Dishes. I had to make sure I orient the half square triangles properly otherwise it wasn't going to look right. This is a really quick block to put together.
This is block #5 called Log Cabin. This is a super easy traditional quilt block. This is also one of those quilt blocks that I made when I first learned how to quilt. I think it is still my favorite block. Its a great way to use up scraps. There are so many different variations that can be done and numerous settings to create different looks.
This is block #6 called Susanna. This is the first time that I've ever made this block. I believe this is also a traditional quilt block. When I marked the diagonal lines to create the square in a square portion of this block, I also went ahead and made half square triangles with the excess trimmings.
These will go into my orphan pile to be put together at a later date, I hope :-)
