I have been sewing quite a bit lately. I love sewing small projects because they get done very quickly. Heather, over at The Sewing Loft was having a Sew My Stash challenge and I didn't know if I would have time to work on a new project but at the last minute I made something. The idea is to pull a kit together and the fabrics can only be two fat quarters. I thought it was two fat quarters but from some of the entries I saw it seemed like there were more fabrics incorporated into the finished project. That's ok, better to err on the safe side. The projects that I saw are really pretty. Lots of ideas for fat quarter projects for sure.
The fabrics I used have been in my stash for quite some time. I love this American Jane print paired with red polka dots. Just so you know, this print is not a directional print. I happened to cut the pieces out and the larger floral bouquet seemed to be the focus of those panels. I had so much to do that I was rushing to get this done so there you have it. It looks upside down, I still love it anyways :-)
Here's a view of the back side of the pouch. I have more of this fabric I think I am going to make a bag with it and pair it with a gray lining. Hopefully I will be able to have time to get a bag made. I still have to catch up on some BOM's that I was hoping to finish last month but time ran away from me.
On another note, the Ruffles blog hop is still going on until March 14th, make sure you stop by Amy's blog to check out the schedule. The ruffled projects are so beautiful and inspiring.
I still have a giveaway for my newest PDF pattern. Click here to enter.

Great little zipper bag, lovely fabric choice.
This is adorable! I have recently started making pouches. I am going to steal your idea for incorporating rickrack. I am visiting from SMW.
