My ALYOF goal for August was to finish putting the Memory Lane blocks together to complete the quilt top. Here's my quilt top all ready for quilting.
Here's a little story of how I got my quilt top ready for quilting. Last night our children had their church activities so I took everything with me to use the large tables in order to pin the layers together to prep it for quilting. As DH was helping me pin the quilt our Bishop and another friend came over to see what DH and I were doing. They jumped right in and started helping without me asking. What awesome guys! I got the quilt pinned in record time.
I started quilting it last night and tried to do some more today but the heat is killing me. I just want to sit and do nothing. I am going to try and do some more quilting later tonight when it cools down a bit. I hope to get this quilt done and bound by this weekend so I can get started on another one.
Here's another peak at the quilt. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

It's been in the 100's here in TX so I have not gotten much done either. What machine are you quilting on?
Beautiful quilt. Wow, maybe I should take my quilt tops to Church...wonder if I would such wonderful unsolicited help :)
You have a wonderful Labor Day weekend also!
How fun to have the Bishop jump in and help! :-) Love the soft colors in the quilt. Have a happy weekend!
Love the soft color palette Kim! So nice of your friends to help you pin the layers together! Have a great weekend!
Good luck getting it finished! Quilting when it is hot out is the worst.
