These are the projects I did for January and February. I made this patchwork tote with a zipper opening. I have been working on various ways to insert zippers to my bags. This is the second one I did. I've been doing a bit of zipper bags and it's to the point where I am very happy with it.
I also managed to make myself a new top. This one is pretty easy to put together.
This is a up-cycled pouch I made using our son's old pair of pants. He wanted a grey pouch so his old pants came in very handy.
At the end of the year, one of our children decided that I needed to make new oven mitts so while in the kitchen, there was an accident with the old oven mitts so therefore I made two of these oven mitts.
to replace the old ones.

Love your patchwork tote! I haven't done a zippered closure on a tote yet. Will have to give it a try!
Look at you go...that really is a cute tote. Great projects!
I want a new sewing machine sooooo bad, so I can start doing more things too.
Yet, right now we are spending some much needed money on getting supplies and such so my poor hubby can have a hobby. He really does deserve it, so I'll be patient and wait. Maybe next year I'll get a new sewing machine.
Until then love looking at the projects you've completed. They all look so great.
Love your finishes - great work. Judy Cin NC

Your tote turned out great - lovely fabrics. And recycling for the pouch - that was good thinking! New blouse - they are fun to make aren't they?
