Between Charming Friends Quilt Along

Kelly gave us an extra week to finish our quilt for the Between Friends Quilt Along. I finally finished my quilt top. I love this pattern! Darlene designed this pattern and has instructions for two sizes. I chose the larger size. It turned out really big, but that was what I was aiming for. I used my scraps instead of the strips Darlene had in her instructions and it came together pretty quick, imagine if I actually followed the instructions how much faster it would have come together? When I finished the blocks I laid the pieces out so I wouldn't make a mistake sewing it together since it has set in triangles.

This is a close-up of the quilt top.
Here's the quilt top all done. I laid it outside to get a good picture but the wind just wouldn't stop blowing, but it will have to do. Lighting in my home is not the greatest for picture taking.
Can't wait to see the parade of quilts.

Absolutely adorable, Kim! Using your scraps was a great idea. It's definitely a large quilt.

It's beautiful! I like the idea of using scraps. I made the smaller one but the big one is on my list. Hope you are having a good weekend!

Wow! How big is it? It looks wonderful. Will you hand or machine quilt it? I am trying to get mine done by Wednesday. Two and a half sides (borders) yets to quilt and then the binding...
